About B.P. Poddar Institute of Management and Technology
In 1999, B.P. Poddar Institute of Management and Technology (BPPIMT) was set up as a tribute to late B.P. Poddar, a visionary philanthropist, educationist and founding father of the group. Supported by the B.P. Poddar Foundation for Education, a trust dedicated to enriching the quality of technical education in the country, the institute is affiliated to the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, West Bengal (MAKAUT) and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). B.P. Poddar Institute of Management and Technology aims to better society by bettering the education system. Candidate passing 10+2) Examination of the Council of Higher Secondary Education, West Bengal or any other recognised board with Physics and Mathematics along with any one of Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Computer Science / Computer Application/ Technical Vocational Subject as compulsory subjects with individual pass marks (in both theory and practical wherever applicable) in all the three subjects as stated above in regular class mode is eligible to apply.
Candidate must score at least 30% marks in English and minimum 45% marks in the above mentioned three subjects taken together. Candidate must qualify Joint Entrance Examination conducted by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board,or JEE (Main) conducted by NTA and recommended by the WBJEE Board.
