BTech

According to the latest statistics, there are 1.5 million engineers in India and the number is expected to grow. In spite of having an engineering degree, not all of these students have stable jobs. To differentiate our students from the rest, MIT-WPU offers a B. Tech programme that equips students with confidence that comes from a curriculum that includes impartment of technical and soft skills required in corporate world.

During this four-year programme, students can become an expert in the fields of Mechanical, Robotics & Automation, Electrical, Chemical, Electronics and Communications, Petroleum, Civil, Computer Science and Polymer Engineering – all of which are evergreen and/or in high-demand fields. In addition to this, we have now added some mandatory courses across all the disciplines so that students can acquire minimum working skills current as per the market demands. These courses include C/C++, Python Programming, Linux Operating System, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Internet of Things, and Data Science.

After completing BTech programme from our university, you can work with various Fortune 500 companies such as Google, Microsoft, Apple, SAP, Intel; Honeywell, Wipro, Cognizant and more. Computer Science and Engineering

The digital era has become omnipresent in all aspects of life. As the role of computers and other technologies is thriving exponentially, the need for efficient and competent computer engineers increases too. Hence, MIT-WPU has introduced a four-year programme in Computer Science and Engineering. This programme equips students to work in various domains of engineering such as design, development, testing, and maintenance. Students have the opportunity to work for renowned companies such as Infosys, Wipro, Synechron and more.

Electronics and Communication Engineering

The last three decades have experienced huge growth in the electronics and communication sector. As this industry grows, the demand for well-qualified professionals increases as well. To match the industry requirements, MIT-WPU is offering a four-year Electronics and Communication Engineering programme. This programme is designed in a way to equip students with comprehensive theoretical and real-life knowledge & skills about Electronic and Communications Engineering that can keep up with the industry requirements. To give students a better understanding of all concepts, we also offer internships, international exposure, on-campus incubation centre and more.

Electrical Engineering

In the present era of innovation, the eminent beginning of Industry 4.0 has generated more than ever before opportunities and challenges for the advancement in the field of electrical and power engineering. The market, including those of customers and regulators, is undergoing continuous developments in electric vehicles, renewable energy, smart grids, and ICT technologies. With such progressive evolution, the demand for innovative services and many more challenges are being posed for the engineers, and they need to find new directions to tackle it. MIT World Peace University has designed a unique Bachelor of Technology (BTech) Program in Electrical Engineering by taking cognizance of future directions of electrical, electronics, and computer engineering along with an emphasis on life skills development and world peace.

Civil Engineering

From the smallest hut to stunning bridges and buildings, civil engineers have developed some of the best engineering marvels. Those who too want to create such structures and make valuable contributions to our economy, should consider our four-year Civil Engineering programme. During this programme, students are trained to conceive, design, build, monitor, operate & maintain infrastructure and transportation & public utility projects. After completing this programme, students will have the knowledge and skills to construct future living spaces and can work with other linked industries.

Mechanical Engineering

Mechanical Engineering is one of MIT-WPU’s most versatile engineering disciplines. Our programme offers a unique blend of academics and co-curricular activities, with a vibrant real-life experience to budding mechanical engineers. In this four-year programme, students learn how to design, develop and improve products and systems for Automotive, Mechatronics, and Aerospace, Manufacturing, Energy Conservation and other industries. After completing this programme, students can work with industry leaders such as Thermax, Mahindra, Larsen & Turbo and others.

Mechanical Engineering (Robotics and Automation)

Today, robots are making their way into new industries to simplify work processes, help employees and improve the overall performance of a business. As the involvement and demand for robots increases, so does the demand for skilled experts to build, operate, and service them. To cater to these requirements, MIT-WPU has started a unique B. Tech programme for Robotics and Automation. Here, students learn the construction, operation, design and application of robots. After completing this four-year programme, they can work for research firms, nuclear power plants, manufacturing industries and more.

Chemical Engineering

From developing the smallest computer chips to coming up with innovative solutions for water-treatment and energy-generation, Chemical Engineers are required to improve the overall well-being of our society. Those interested in working in an industry which renders innovative and technological services, should consider our four-year Chemical Engineering programme. Students are trained to deal with the design, development and operation aspects of industrial processes to convert raw materials into useful products. After completing this programme, students are equipped to work with industry leaders such as TATA, Honeywell, and others.

Petroleum Engineering

Our Petroleum Engineering programme is considered one of the most unique and lucrative courses in India. Here, our well-experienced faculty teaches students to design & develop methods & technologies for extracting oil and gas from deposits below the Earth’s surface. During this four-year programme, students get a brief overview of petroleum exploration, drilling engineering, refining and transport, reservoir engineering and more.

AI & DS Engineering

The School of Computer Engineering and Technology is one of the largest departments at MIT-WPU. Specialization course in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science is one of the new courses offered at the school. The course offers the student the latest technologies focused in the domain of Artificial Intelligence & Data Science. Over the four years of the course, students will learn the skills and knowledge required in the domain of AI & DS. The course will enable the student for various career aspects as Data Scientist, Business Analyst, Researcher to tackle real-life problems in the field of Machine learning, Statistics, knowledge discovery, and data visualization. Our experienced and eminent faculties will teach advanced technologies, emerging tools, and Peace courses as a part of the course. Facilities at MIT World Peace University

  • Library

    MIT World Peace University’s library has a collection of 75000 books including more than 70000 technical books. Library regularly subscribes to 175 titles of which 12 are international titles, 15 newspapers and 10 magazines are regularly subscribed and are made available in reading hall for students and staff. The library also has a separate stock of over more than 2100 CDs. The library has also subscribed for the following e-resources: IEEE, IEEE, IEEE, Springer, ELSEVIER (Science Direct), ASTM Digital Library Online, EBSCO.

     
  • Hostel

    MIT World Peace University has two separate buildings are meant for girl students, one in MIT School/ Hostel campus near MIT boys hostel, with a capacity of 300 girl students and the other building is located in the MIT College Campus, accommodating 175 girl students. Hostel accommodation is allotted to students strictly on merit basis during the first year. International students are given preference.

  • Sports Complex

    MIT World Peace University also provides the facilities of Table Tennis, Carrom, and Wrestling. The students of this college have participated and won the number of prizes at Inter-Collegiate, University, State and National levels. MIT Pune has successfully organized several sports tournaments including Inter-Engineering Athletic Meet, Cricket, Basketball, Volleyball, Table Tennis tournaments, Zonal level Boxing, Badminton, Chess tournaments and Inter-Professional College Volley ball, Basketball tournaments, and so on.
