Eligibility to BE :

ELIGIBILITY

The student should have passed 2nd PUC/ 12th standard or equivalent examination with English as one of the languages and should have scored an aggregate of 45% in Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/ Bio-Technology/Computer Science/Electronics/Biology. In case of candidates belonging to Karnataka Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and other Backward Classes (Category I, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B), the minimum marks for the purpose of eligibility will be 40% aggregate in the optional subjects in the qualifying examination.

DURATION

The duration of the course shall be four academic years and conducted in 8 semesters, with each semester having a duration of 16 weeks.

• Computer Science & Engineering:Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in Computer Science and Engineering, / Information Science. AMIE in appropriate branch. GATE: CS is necessary.

• Machine Design:Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in Mechanical Engineering / Industrial & Production Engineering / Automobile Engineering . AMIE in appropriate branch. GATE: ME is necessary.

• Cyber Forensics and Information Security:Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in Computer Science and Engineering, / Information Science, / Information Technology, AMIE in appropriate branch. GATE: CS is necessary.

DURATION

The duration of the course is 2 years comprising 4 semesters.

MASTER OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION- AUTONOMOUS

Master of Business Administration (MBA) is a two year, four semesters full time autonomous programme, affiliated to Visvesvararya Technological University. The Master of Business Administration Program proactively aims at, developing an enquiring and an analytical mind, seeking right knowledge, acquiring appropriate skills and fostering the right attitude to develop capabilities needed to manage enterprises.

Eligibility Criteria

• The minimum academic qualifications to be satisfied by the candidates seeking admission to the Ph. D Programme, shall be as given below:

• The candidates shall possess MBA Degree recognized by the University, with a minimum CGPA of 6.75 out of 10 or 60% aggregate marks at the Master’s Degree.

• There shall be provision for the following categories of candidates for admission to Ph. D.:

• Full-Time: Candidates who shall pursue Ph.D. research on full time basis, either as regular, QIP/FIP scholars or those belonging to M.Sc.(Engg.) by research + Ph. D or M.E./M. Tech./M. Arch. + Ph, D Dual Degree categories.

• Part-Time: In-service candidates having a minimum professional experience of one year after his/her UG Degree from among faculty members working in any Engineering College / Polytechnic / University / Deemed to be University (recognized / accredited by appropriate bodies in India) or research staff of public / private organizations who shall pursue Ph.D. research on part time basis.

Master of Computer Application (MCA)

ELIGIBILITY

Admission to MCA course shall be open for the candidates who have passed the Bachelor degree with not less than 50% i.e. integer 50% (rounding-off aggregate percent is not permitted) of the marks in the aggregate of all the years of the degree examinations with Mathematics or Statistics or Computer Science or Computer Programming or Computer Applications or Business Mathematics or Business Statistics as one of the optional or elective at Degree Level. However, in the case of candidates from Karnataka belonging to**SC/ST and Category I, the aggregate percent of marks of all the years of the qualifying examination shall not be less than 45% i.e integer 45%(rounding-off aggregate percent is not permitted).

Provided further that a candidate who has studied and passed one of the subjects specified in the first provision in the Pre-University Course with 50% of marks in that subject shall also be considered for admission. However in the case of candidates from Karnataka belonging to SC/ST and Category I, the aggregate percent of marks of all the years of the qualifying examination shall not be less than 45% i.e integer 45%(rounding-off aggregate percent is not permitted) of marks in that subject shall be considered for Admission.
