Comedk UGET entrance exam

 Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka  i.e. COMEDK is the body which conducts the State Level Entrance Exam for admissions to more than 120 colleges in  engineering and architecture courses that accept COMEDK scores. COMEDK Exam makes a candidate eligible for admissions to over more than 20000 BTech and BArch seats. Each & every year more than  70,000 candidates appear   for the COMEDK UGET exam.

Please note that candidates can only participate in COMEDK BArch Counselling for allocation of seats once they also appear for NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) along with COMEDK UGET score.

COMEDK UGET 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Every candidate has to satisfy multiple eligibility criteria of COMEDK UGET who wants to get an allotment for admissions at engineering, medical and dental colleges in the state of Karnataka. COMEDK UGET 2023 course wise eligibility criteria are as follows:

Eligibility Criteria for Engineering Courses

Candidates have to fulfil the following eligibility criteria to apply for COMEDK 2023 :

Every year COMEDK UGET authorities releases the eligibility criteria of COMEDK UGET 2023 on the official website https://www.comedk.org/index.html. The eligibility criteria of COMEDK UGET 2023 is basically a set of parameters defined by the exam conducting body that candidates have to follow that in order to be considered for admission. COMEDK UGET 2023 eligibility criteria also includes parameters like age, qualifying exam, nationality etc.

In order to become eligible for COMEDK UGET 2023 each & every candidate should have passed class 10+2 or equivalent exam with a minimum 45% (40% for SC, ST & OBC candidates of Karnataka in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics & should pass these subjects individually from any state board within India, CBSE, ISCE or NIOS. Class 10+2 should consist of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics with English as a compulsory subject.  

However Diploma candidates are not allowed under COMEDK UGET to take the Entrance Test as there are no lateral entry admissions.

It is considered adequate if a candidate has to make an attempt in the COMEDK Entrance Test for admission to Engineering courses.

Eligibility Criteria for B. Architectural Courses

Candidates should fulfil this eligibility criteria to apply for COMEDK UGET 2023 :

• The examinations required for admission to B. Arch course Class 10+2 Higher Secondary or equivalent examination with Mathematics as one of the subjects along with other subjects or a 10+3 Diploma recognized by State/Central Government and should have at least 50% marks in aggregate (45% in the case of SC/ST & OBC candidates of Karnataka.
• Every candidate interested for B. Arch courses should also appear NATA ie National Aptitude Test in Architecture which is conducted by the Council of Architecture & a candidate should get a minimum 80 out of 200 marks for General Merit Category students.

Important:

• The Architecture students don’t need to take COMEDK 2023. For admissions they have to fill a separate application form for COMEDK UGET 2023.
