NMAT 2022
What is NMAT?
NMAT or NMAT by GMAC is a national level entrance test conducted for MBA admissions at NMIMS University and other reputed B-Schools in India as well as abroad. Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies conducted NMAT until GMAC took over the authority. The national level entrance exam, NMAT, is conducted once a year during the test window of specified days. NMAT by GMAC score is based on the performance of candidates in three sections, namely, Language Skills, Quantitative Skills and Logical Reasoning. Candidates can choose the exam date and venue preference during the exam window using the NMAT scheduling option. NMAT shares some features with GMAT as candidates are allowed to choose the preferred date during a testing window as well as self-schedule the test, time and venue, appointment date based on the availability of seats at the preferred test centre.
NMAT Exam Full Form
Earlier the NMAT full form was NMIMS Management Aptitude Test and was the abbreviated form for Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) Management Aptitude Test. The exam was acquired by Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) in 2015 and therefore, the NMAT has been renamed as NMAT by GMAC and as such now the NMAT exam full form is NMAT by Graduate Management Admission Council. Prior to 2015, Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), Mumbai used to conduct the NMAT exclusively for admission to its MBA programmes and therefore the full form of NMAT stood as NMIMS Management Aptitude Test. Now the NMAT score is accepted by 30+ institutes in India and is conducted by GMAC.
