TISSNET 2023 : Exam Dates,Eligibility,Exam Pattern, Syllabus, and Cut off

TISSNET is a national level Post Graduate Entrance Examination conducted by   Tata Institute of Social Sciences   for admission to the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai Campus and its affiliated institutions. TISNET offers admission to its flagship program which is   MA in Human Resource Management and Labour Relations from TISS Mumbai  .

TISS NET Exam Date 2023

Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) has released its schedule for TISSNET 2023 & the date of the exam is   21st January 2023 from 2 PM to 3.40 PM  & it will be an online computer based test. Application process for TISSNET 2023 starts from  17th November 2022 & closes on 10th January 2023.  

TISSNET offers admission to various management programmes at different campuses of Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS). TISSNET 2023 will be an online CBT exam comprising MCQ type questions. This year candidates will have to appear in TISSMAT and TISSPAT after getting shortlisted for PI round based on TISSNET for admission to 2023-25 Batch in specific Masters’ Programmes.

TISS MAT & TISSPAT 2023

These are Additional Exams for Specific MA Programmes :

Tata Institute of Social Sciences at its different campuses has more than 50 Masters programs to & MA in Human Resource Management & Labour Relations & MA in Organisation Development Change Leadership are its flagship programmes.  

TISSMAT Details

Candidates applying for MA Human Resource Management and Labor Relations (HRM and LR) and MA Organization Development, Change and Leadership (ODCL) offered at TISS Mumbai Campus will also have a Management App (TI). After the TISS-NET results are announced and the shortlist is announced, MAT is administered before the PI round.

TISSMAT duration will be of   45 minutes with 50 marks .  The weightage of TISS MAT is of 40% in final merit list for admission.

The TISSMAT will be conducted only for those candidates who are shortlisted for MA (HRM) and MA (ODCL).

TISS MAT : Role in Final Selection Process

• The TISS MAT consists of both descriptive writing & computer based MCQs is a cfor a duration of 45 minutes.
• TISS-MAT Score will be considered along with the  final selection process and thus will be considered only for those who are shortlisted for Stage 2. TISS-MAT Score will be aggregated with the score of TISSNET and OPI in the following manner to arrive at the final score for selection.

1. TISSNET: 30%
2. TISSMAT : 40%
3. Online Personal Interview (OPI) : 30%

TISSPAT : Candidates applying for all other MA programmes offered at TISS Mumbai Campus and other Campuses should appear in TISS Programme Aptitude Test (TISSPAT) which is conducted just before PI round & after TISSNET result published and merit listannounced for each MA programme separately.

TISSPAT duration will be of 45 minutes with 50 marks. The weightage of TISS PAT is of 40% in the final merit for the selection. 

 The TISSPAT will be conducted only for the shortlisted candidates for MA programmes.

TISS NET 2023 : Exam Pattern 

Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) conducts the exam TISSNET in different parts of India  in 40 centres. There will   100 questions in MCQ format   in TISSNET 2023 & the duration of the test will be   100 minutes  . Candidates will be awarded 1 mark for every correct answer & there is no negative marking in TISSNET 2023 for wrong answers. The exam is of 100 marks.

TISSNET 2023 Exam Pattern: Key Details

• TISSNET 2023 exam consists of three sections like English Proficiency, Mathematics & Logical Reasoning & General Awareness & each sections consists of different number of questions.
• Admission will be offered in different management programs in different campuses of Tata Institute of Social Sciences through TISSNET 2023 exam.
• The mode of exam is a online Computer Based Test (CBT) consisting of MCQ type of questions.

TISS NET Exam 2023 Syllabus 

TISSNET Selection Process Restructured :

The Admission Process for Masters Programmes in TISS  Mumbai has been restructured. Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of  TISSNET 2023. Then  the institute will send them the call to appear in TISSMAT/TISSPAT 2023 which is then followed by Online Personal Interview (OPI) for specific programs.

TISS NET 2023 : Eligibility Criteria 

Tata Institute of Social Sciences has published the eligibility criteria for candidates to apply for TISS NET 2023 Exam 

1. Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 3 years duration or it’s equivalent from a recognised university.
2. Bachelor’s Degree with 15 years years of total education is required.
3. To appear for TISS NET 2023 no minimum percentage of marks is required in Graduation.

TISS NET 2023 Registration & Application Process  

The online registration and application for TISS NET 2023 should be completed by 10^th January 2023. A candidate should apply & register online in the official website of TISS for TISS NET 2023. Candidates should apply through online process only and can apply in any 2 TISS campuses & other centre locations for a maximum of 3 programmes. A candidate should read the Eligibility Criteria carefully before filling up the TISSNET 2023 Application Form.

TISSNET 2023 : Cut offs Section Wise

• In TISS NET 2023 exams the are no sectional cut off for Mathematics & Logical Reasoning Sections & English Proficiency.
• To qualify the TISS-NET exam sectional cut off for General Awareness is required.
• Any candidate will not be qualified for TISSNET in spite of the aggregate score obtained by them who is not scoring minimum cut off marks for the General Awareness.
